    Year of foundation

    The process of foundation and introduction to the market was based first of all on clear definition of the mission of the company and its development strategy. Development of effective business strategy resulted in making the fundamental conception of company’s activity rested upon the principles of best possible service of the market needs, fair competition, informative openness and reliability. The tasks addressed at the self-determination and strategy development stage made it possible to clearly formulate and outline to the other market participants the goals the company was being founded to achieve.

  • 2000

    In the Millennium OVA carries out an internal structural rearrangement that helped it to increase the efficiency of all its branch units. The same year the company put into operation the Baltprommyaso meat-processing plant in Kaliningrad. Today this plant produces meat foods under the «Russkiy Izysk» », «Lyubimiy Dom», «Vse k stolu!», «OVA» and «Korona Baltiki» brands.

  • 2002

    This year was a turning point in the history of OVA. First of all, the company commissioned the DEIMA meat-processing plant in Kaliningrad region which today produces meat foods under « Russkiy Izysk » and «OVA» brands. But the most significant event of the year was the formation of a full cycle agroindustrial holding which along with the already existing companies included newly established company groups: «Zalesie: «Zalesskoye Moloko» (grain and rape production); «Novoe Vysokovskoye» (stock-breeding and feed production); «Zalesskiy Agroservice» (technical and information assistance to the « Zalesie » company group and other legal entities and individuals).

  • 2006

    With the production facilities and OVA agricultural complex situated in the Kaliningrad region it was very important for the company that on the 1 April 2006 “On the special economic zone in Kaliningrad region and amendments to some legislative acts of the Russian Federation” national law entered into force which affected all the branch units of the agroindustrial holding. This law enabled the company to optimize its raw materials costs which resulted in the ready products becoming more sales appealing due to lower prices.

  • 2007

    The most significant event of the year was the development and ubiquitous realization of the national program of the Russian agricultural sector development that directly influenced the activities performed by OVA agroindustrial holding.
    As the leading company in the industry and one of the main participants to the program, OVA agroindustrial holding held consultations with the local authorities in the areas where main production facilities and agricultural resources were concentrated and initiated development of the regional program to improve the profitability of the region that complemented the guidelines set forth in the presidential program.
    In addition to participation in realization of the national project, in 2007 OVA started three significant joint projects with the leading processing factories in Russia and Europe and began to produce its products at the partners’ facilities. «KRKK» factory («Калининградский рыбоконсервный завод») – fish production under the «Admiral» brand. Today «KRKK» factory can by right be considered one of the best in its sector. Another OVA reputed partner is Bulgarconserv. Its products have been extremely popular among the customers in Russia and Europe for many decades. Canned meat and vegetable products are produced at the production facilities of this company under the «Vse k stolu!» brand. The third strategic partner of OVA is «Rogachevsky MKK» factory which is well-known in Russia and which starts production of canned milk under the «Banka Nejnosti» brand. Furthermore, in the 2007 OVA ranked first in Russia occupying 16% of the canned meat production and sales market according to official report by the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR) and Business Vision Research Company.

    The history of the company till the present day is the way to success – sometimes hard and thorny, but sometimes tinged with the glow of strategically victorious decisions. The significance of the company to the Russian economy and agricultural sector can not be overestimated. Modern production facilities and high agricultural capacities, business foresight accompanied by competent managerial decisions which the leading experts of the company are responsible for – this all will continue to favor the growth and strengthening of OVA.

    However, “OVA”, with great production, personnel and financial capacity, minimize the threat of possible loss, while maintaining production and jobs.

    Twenty years is a short period nationally but very significant period for the country’s real economy. New workplaces, investments to the economy of the whole region, commissioning of enterprises forming a company town – we reap what we sowed in 1996, at the outset of the Russian agricultural sector, when one had to make every step and every decision battling through in strong competition.

    We have launched a new meat-processing company “Sovereign” (Kaliningrad region), which started production of new products under the trademarks “GURMYASO” and “MYASSR.
